Sleep Disorders and Insomnia

habits, or an underlying medical or psychiatric condition. Depression is a very
common cause of insomnia and can usually be treated with medication, cognitive
behavioral therapy, or interpersonal therapy. In most cases, insomnia can be
helped by improving bedtime habits, relieving stress, and relaxation exercises.
Caffeinated drinks such as coffee and drugs such as diet pills and decongestants
stimulate some parts of the brain and can cause insomnia, or an inability to
sleep.
