There are many different kinds of disorders.  During the span of any lifetime all humans will go through a phase of disrupted that could be linked to a specific disorder.  While there are all kinds, most are overcome by changing patterns and one’s attitude about sleeping.  There is no question that a well rested person is more productive and better adjusted than a deprived person.  But what are the different kinds of disorders that can disrupt your life?  Here’s a few:

Insomnia is the most popular of the disorders.  Really the term insomnia is a broad stroke that covers just about anyone who suffers an inability to fall asleep or remain asleep for a reasonable amount of time.

Bruxism is a condition where a person involuntairily grinds his or her teeth while asleep.  This can cause pain in the mouth or headaches from the tension.

Sleep Apnea is when a person has some type of blockage in their air passages that makes it difficult for them to at night.  Most people suffering from apnea snore and cannot get a full night’s rest because they are

Sleep walking occurs when people engage in conscious behaviors while they are sleeping.  walkers may move from their bed to a couch or into the kitchen to eat without ever waking up. 

Snoring is a disorder that causes the sleeper to have loud breathing patterns while they are sleeping.  This disorder is one that can affect the sleeper, as well as their partner who may be woken up by the noise of the snoring next to them. 

Night terror disorder is when the sleeper will awake abruptly from sleeping with the same behavior as if they were terrified.  Night terrors are an extreme of nightmares and can sometimes cause physical harm to the sleeper or anyone sharing their bed.

If you are suffering from a disorder, try to pinpoint what may be causing the disorder and speak to someone about how to solve it.  Many times the cures come from taking a different approach to falling asleep or changes in your sleeping environment.  For others like apnea, there are surgeries that are available to help you achieve a better night’s rest.
